Android Season!

Since August 2010 I have been using Android 2.1 (Eclair) powered smart phone Samsung Vibrant and I have to certainly admit that I absolutely love the device and operating system. The most amazing features that I've liked most, 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with 16 million colors is STUNNING. SWYPE keyboard is awesome Speaker quality is brilliant and it does support 5.1 surround while using audio devices or head phones. 16 GB internal memory Powerful gaming machine Enter your gmail id and password. It configures your e-mail for sending and receiving, and it immediately sync your Google contacts to phone, Google messenger gets configured automatically and your Google calendar get in sync with your phone. Amazing! isn't it? Enter your facebook credentials and it configures the app and moreover it does your contacts to sync with facebook contacts and you can pretty much view your friends updates in the contact itself. Ubuntu Fever!

Recently i have updated my OS from Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) to Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat). There are some notable changes considering my usage and it is all mentioned below. Changes in Evolution and got updated to the latest version 2.30.3. I could feel the response got increased a bit and works more solid. Default photo manager got changed to Shotwell from F-spot. Shotwell is very responsive and for me it is way better than F-Spot. The sound Indicator has been enhanced to include music player controls. Software center has been updated with some additional features. Quick support for hardware drivers. In my case it was for nvidia graphics card. New themes, new icons, and new wallpaper bring a dramatically updated look and feel to Ubuntu. Never tried Ubuntu one. But will be doing it soon. My Ubuntu experience ladder was like this.
